ABOUT ROB

After many years of working for others I have the opportunity to work at something of my own. I’ve always written stories and drawn images but now I have time to dedicate to writing and painting and see where that leads me.

I’m finding the techniques that help me craft stories and the paintings I set out to create. At the moment my focus is on writing a follow-up novel to The Heart of Kilmor.

Authors who inspire me are the likes of Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett and Ian Banks. Paintings I love are often those with attention to detail. Among my art heroes are Rene Magritte and Arthur Rackham; also botanical illustrators and many of the modern portrait painters I come across.
